The mission of Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ) is safeguarding and improving Utah\u2019s air, land and water through balanced regulation. UDEQ administers the State Revolving Fund Programs which consists of the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF)<\/a> and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), which is overseen by the administrative arm of the Utah Division of Water Quality\u2019s (DWQ). The DWSRF loan program funds low-interest loans and other financial assistance to publicly and privately-owned community water systems, and non-profit, non-community water systems to finance infrastructure projects. The Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan Program (SRF) on average, receives a combined $9 million dollars a year from State and Federal funding and, on average, an additional $15 million in funding each year from loan repayments. Financial assistance money is to be used to fund water quality and wastewater infrastructure projects in Utah.<\/p>\n
