Our mission is to provide regulatory guidance, environmental awareness and implement an energy strategy that will bring economic benefits to the Commonwealth while protecting the environment and improving the quality of life for Kentucky businesses, workers and the public in general.<\/p>\n

Kentucky\u2019s DWSRF financing program<\/a> provides low interest loans for infrastructure projects that are considered a priority based on public health criteria outlined in the SDWA. Projects identified to receive funding are selected from the ranked group of Project Profiles submitted during an Annual Call for Projects. The DWSRF is administered by the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority. By Memorandum of Agreement, the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) through the Division of Water (DOW) perform environmental and technical reviews on projects that seek assistance from the DWSRF. Since its inception in 1997, Kentucky\u2019s DWSRF has committed funds to 181 drinking water infrastructure projects, totaling more than $441 million (through April, 2019).<\/p>\n

Kentucky\u2019s CWSRF financing program<\/a> provides low interest loans for infrastructure projects that are considered a priority based on the water pollution control criteria outlined in the CWA. Projects identified to receive funding are selected from the ranked group of Project Profiles submitted during the annual Call for Projects. The Fund is administered by the Kentucky Infrastructure Autority. By Memorandum of Agreement, the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) through the Division of Water (DOW) perform environmental and technical reviews on projects that seek assistance from the CWSRF. Since its inception in 1988, Kentucky\u2019s CWSRF has committed funds to 392wastewater infrastructure projects, totaling more than $1.5 billion (through April, 2019).<\/p>\n
